Friday, August 1st was the 1 year anniversary of the 35 W bridge collapse. The picture on the left (from the Star Tribune) shows the numbers of people that turned out to remember those involved in the collapse. At 6:05 p.m., survivors, first responders, bridge workers, political leaders and everyday Minnesotans bowed their heads in silence as an American flag was slowly unfurled, and as if on cue, a bald eagle flew over.
I hope everyone remembered those who lost their lives on this day, and be thankful for the loved ones we knew that made it out ok.

I am sooo thankful that myself of anyone I know was not hurt in this terrible event. We have to think of those people that where. They will always be in our memories.
